The Tragedy of King Lear (2017)
Role: Sound Designer and Operator
Venue: St Peter's Church
Location: St Johns Wood, London
Desk: Yamaha DM1000

The Tragedy of King Lear was my first realised production as part of Royal Central, and I was fortunate enough to be designing, and creating sound effects, with the guidance of the director Jonathan O'Boyle.
For this I used a surround sound system. The left and right as stereo and 2 placed on a truss at the front and back of the stage, to localise some sounds of horns, and distant drums.
Had a lot of fun with this one, and learned a lot about QLab programming techniques.
This was an underscore we had underneath a sword fight between 2 characters in the heat of the war.
I am very inspired by the work of Hans Zimmer, and for this I just decided to sustain the first note of "Red Warrior" from The Last Samurai
